I think I would still slightly prefer the circles, but if it was my own car I wouldn’t spend the money on them. It’s not often that I’m looking at my own tail lights/blinker.

If I had a Miata with a rotary, all of the braps would come out of that central panel just below the trunk. Would have to move the plate but.... I think it’ll look awesome. Especially with exposed heat shielding.
